@CloserKj That’s always been the case. Zuck and Dell were both 19. Gates was 20. Jobs was 21. Never get complacent. Always be hungry

@SirMeowMusic Where is your product made? If it’s CN or HK, you can likely broker it across under Type 11 Entry. You still pay duty, but it’s on your cost of goods, not on retail

My brain is melting out of my ears, but I gotta hand it to ChatGPT. It’s helped me learn a ton about tariffs and import/export in a very short time. Section 321, Type 11, HS codes… 🤯😣☠️

@JenkoKent @mbertulli Ya, that was more tongue-in-cheek, lol I feel like the reasoning is to bring manufacturing back to the US, but I also think companies won’t just go back to human labor unless it’s a last resort

@JenkoKent @mbertulli Sure does, unless someone were to be building a line of humanoid robots that they’re planning on selling for that exact purpose 🤔

@mbertulli Besides tax credits, this is the only way to force manufacturing back into the US. Enter the robotics industry to “staff” those factories

Well, Section 321 is dead for CN and HK manufactured products. BUT to minimize your duties, you can use Type 11 entry. This is informal entry and you can use the manufactured cost for your products, instead of the sale price. Save money!

On pause (for now)! Canadian US tariffs are on pause for 30 days. This includes Section 321! Personally, I think China is the endgame for the Trump admin. So, if you manufacture in China, start looking elsewhere, and fast!

With all the tariff and customs uncertainty, it is especially important that you get the Country of Origin and your HS codes done correctly. Doing it wrong can cost you (or your customers) thousands of dollars.

No tariffs today by the sounds of it. Instead Trump will "sign an executive order today to investigate alleged unfair trade and currency practices by Canada, Mexico and China." Is this a sign towards a more pragmatic approach to all this? I certainly hope so.

@evansammccann This is a need! We need to hear more about Canadian businesses and their success stories. Like those Heritage commercials, but for businesses. Be proud to be Canadian!
