@eigenrobot I need a toddler to take to the store with me, because I’m 5-7 and that top shelf just keeps getting further and further away from me. I demand equity! To be clear, I will hold the toddler up to the shelf, not stand on the toddler.

@MattWalshBlog Primitive cultures punished the families of offenders. Achan in Bible is an example. Developed, civilized cultures moved past this centuries ago. One America is primitive and emotionally driven. The other America is civilized and logical. It’s why this isn’t working out.

@plethonist I tell my wife all the time, “I think amplification is one of the worst things to have ever been invented”. I am so sick and tired of hearing music and noise everywhere. We weren’t meant to hear music all the time. Or even daily, for that matter, unless we are making it ourselves

@brutalanthropod @PstafarianPrice To clarify, it’s a pharmaceutical that was once legal here, but outlawed because Pfizer didn’t want competition. It’s just anti-inflammatory with stomach-coating built in. My beef is that we can’t get that, but could EASILY get the mind-killer weed?

@brutalanthropod @PstafarianPrice Arkansas is medicaL. But as suspected, it was just a front. It’s pervasive and pernicious in every corner of the state now. If medicinal was a good argument for legalization, then I want the anti-inflammatory that helps my wife’s once-broken hip that we can only get in China.

@WMCActionNews5 Horrible idea. Horrible. Talk to the people in states that have legalized it, even for medical use. Talk to the overwhelming amount of people who now regret doing so. There are cities in Arkansas where you cannot escape the stench. It should be punishable w/ prison.

@JulieChangRE I like the aesthetics somewhat. But I’m changing that opening to tile w/ a glass door, or putting up at least a couple feet of glass between the shower and toilet. You can still use the hose to clean the toilet, but it won’t be wet after every shower.

@eigenrobot @rana_labs_ I ran soft maple on the calculator. Walnut will be similar. Butcher block should have much less deflection, but it wasn’t an option on the menu. You’re good.

@rana_labs_ @eigenrobot Checks out! Only .01”-.02” of deflection with an insanely large assumed load of 30lbs. per linear foot. Real desk loading is probably less than 10.

@Cyber_Spock @eigenrobot 1. Raise grain with distilled water. 2. Sand raised grain w/320 grit, just enough to remove fuzz -Stain here if desired- 3. Three coats water-based poly, sanding w/320 grit between coats. NOT steel wool.
