@DiffidenteIl It may not be smoother than differentiating through a differentiable hard coded simulator, but the point is that it's at least equally smooth while being much easier to implement. More work to do to figure out if it's also smoother :)

@hb_cell Thanks for your interest! You're right, we don't have anything about human invention in the paper but that was the main topic of my PhD, so it's something I'm actively exploring further.
