They say take it an hour at a time. Well so far I've taken 4416hrs. Some of them easier then others and some of them so hard I felt like I would rather die. Today marks 6mths clean. Half my first year down. With many days to go.

July 30th - We didn't get the G3 during the night but according to the data we were never going to get the G3 levels. Those are coming in the next few hours. But what we got to see just after midnight in Labrador City, NL, Canada was amazing. Even the clouds stayed mostly away.

Today was hard. Seeing both my sons with tears in their eyes & watching a casket of a kid not even 22yet be brought down the aisle was brutal as a parent, especially with a son who’s also in early addiction. Seeing the parents in their inconceivable grief heightened my own fears.

Heading out for the 540km trip home shortly. Words cannot describe how much kindness we received in Happy Valley Goose Bay during this evacuation. They took in thousands of displaced Labrador City residents with zero issue and opened homes and gave away god knows how much money

My concern with things in metro grow. We’ve already had Tina show up at an in person 12step meeting, say she was a visitor and then proceed to share when we ask at meetings that only members share except if there’s a milestone. And then post on fb asking other non addicts to go.

Can’t get into the rooms of recovery if you’re dead from toxic drugs. Keep people alive and maybe they will come when they’re ready.

And just got news the toxic drugs took another friend of mine, met him in the rooms in St. John’s and he even came up here for months to work. I’ll never forget the coffees and chats and the morning texts each morning. He went back out and never made it back to recovery 💔💔💔
