THIS. ➡️I've been asked a lot over the last 24 hours about UH's situation. I work with a lot of athletic directors; it's no secret that Hawai'i is my favorite school to work with. Craig LOVES this school. No past tense; he will still cheer for the Bows. Their AD is/was their #1.
So I was just in Hawaii a few weeks ago. Based on what I heard and saw there, and what I've been hearing over the last few days. I dont think Hawaii is REALLY making an AD change over "performance.". I think its something else. And no, not a scandal:.

For my Hawai’i friends… (elite fanbase, MWC you’ve been warned!)🌈⚔️. This applies to UH Hoops.🏀. Good News: Investment into guarantee games, which was low in my opinion. Bad News: Those games are for winnable games. Not your top or name brand schools. #SportsBiz | #SMSports.
Again, as I’ve said before➡️UC Davis will be a full member of the MWC by ‘29. UC Davis agrees to spend a minimum figure in MBB game guarantees for "winnable home games.”🏀. Around 2016 this was a conference priority. They envisioned 3/4+ teams dancing every year…(it worked).💃🏻.

The domino effect here could be wild.🎲. You now have WCC-Big West-WAC all roughly on the same playing field more or less as a conference. Sprinkle on some Big Sky w/Football. By extent, the “UAC” for WAC FB schools too…. Get your popcorn out… 🍿. #SMSports #SportsBiz.
WCC now finds itself in a complicated position. Without Gonzaga *and* GCU, the league doesn't really have a big-budget program. Cal Baptist would surely still love to be in the league, but don't be shocked to see the WCC kick the tires on more creative membership options.
