I only started running in April 🏃🏽♀️
I could barely do a 5km. With some determination and discipline I’ve been running 2 x 5km a week reaching ~29mins ⏱️
Today, 4 days before I turn 39, I did my 1st 10km. That was my goal 🤩
It’ll be nothing to some, but it’s a big deal to me! 💪🏼

My Dad died 13yrs ago today, age 52.
He was known as the “Shrinks’ Shrink” because not only did he help his patients but also his colleagues.
He never saw me get into medical school but yday I achieved an outcome 1 & will be starting ST7

Back at work after being a bridesmaid & visiting my childhood friend’s newborn.
It takes a lot to upset me but today I defended myself & my FY1 after a relative greeted us both with absolute rage, disgust at striking & wait time.
Please DO NOT blame us.

I was SO nervous becoming a consultant esp in one of the busiest units in the country.
It just shows when you have a good supportive network, you can strive to achieve anything! ❤️

I chatted to the patient for a long time, he was lovely.
It felt both weird & comforting.

I’ve had the best morning post taking patients in ED.
As you know the NHS is really struggling at the moment.
My FY1 was so enthusiastic, asked me lots of questions & said “I have really enjoyed medicine today.”
Patients have been wonderful & we have laughed together 💕
