Quick update. I’m recovering. Surgery lasted a couple hours more than anticipated. (6hours) And doctors found two more fibroids bringing my total count to 8.

I got passed over for a better shift 11 times in one newsroom. This after never getting reprimanded or negative feedback until an annual review that was 1.5 years late. (This barely scratches the surface. And yes I was one of maybe three people of color.)
