It details before my attack, when my youth served as currency, through my medical journey where I couldn’t recognise my reflection, and others refused to, right up to where I am now, content but constantly fighting for my place in the world, something I’m sure I’m not alone in.

“I was too young to question the narrative I’d been fed and I traded on my looks, living recklessly and unaware of my own mortality. I smoked, I drank, and I didn’t think about my diet beyond what would keep me slim. Words like ‘ageing’ and ‘disability’ had no place in my world.”

I’ve got something really exciting to announce on Tuesday. I’m kinda nervous about it, it’s one of my most raw and honest projects to date. There will be more details to follow soon and this is something for everyone, so I’m eager to have you see it and earn your reactions.

As always I’m incredibly grateful to all those in the NHS and private health care system for their talent and kindness. I will share my journey, I’m hopeful and nervous about being able tolerate it and would love to hear from any of you if you have any advice.
