What’s your big challenge for 2025? A half marathon? Learning to swim? Pairing your kids socks and throwing out the single ones? Sorting out your tights?

@CapelLofft Women seem to arrange socialising round the children. They meet other mum’s in the park.. the soft play etc. In my experience dads don’t seem to do this as much. Obvs it’s not as satisfying as child free time but it’s better than nothing and keeps those friendships going.

@madbutwright I'm not quite as lofty as you (5'9"), but I too get asked to reach for things & it has never occurred to me to take offence. In fact, as a pretty sturdy lady, I actually take great pleasure in lifting bags up to the shelf on a train etc. Lovely to be big & strong & able to help

Anyone else want to eat a treat, but you’re worried about the calories, so basically substitute a proper meal for aforementioned food? A regular of mine: cream tea for lunch. And what I’ve have for supper: An extra large mince pie 😂😂😂

Wonderful Christmas Day. Friends round who’d had recent, shock bereavement. We were dealing with our own “empty chair”. But it was one of the most special Xmases I’ve ever had. Something about us all being there together. Helping to remind each other that life can still be good.

@ratemyplate84 That’s bleak. I had my youngest vom in my face the weekend before last & have been battling that bug ever since. Only just thrown it off. Feels almost inevitable that at least one out of each young family will be ill at Xmas
