@neilmcrowther Well there are fewer formal structures / criteria for SP referral. But the service itself may set eligibility criteria. Especially if it’s only funded for certain groups. Cos there’s usually no additional money for referrals from SP

@neilmcrowther Very few schemes are “money follows the patient” now. There are some places where there are pots of funding for activities which are commonly referred into by SP. And many of these are the same interventions SC might use

Well yes, but fortunately there are many really visionary DASSs already leading transformation with people who draw on care - so lots he can do by working with people rather than directing.

@andrew_harrop @wesstreeting On social care, @wesstreeting shocked at the lack of direct line of sight SoS has of social care - the only way to direct improvements is to write letters to DASSs or through regulation, via a problematic CQC.
