I’m now in my 50’s and was just thinking, had I not been brainwashed into thinking there were too many people on the planet, I would have had more than one child. I married a man with two tho, so I guess it evened out. I’ve also been thinking the whole ‘girls can do everything’ wasn’t very fair. I mean, yeah, we can, but do we need to?Those of us who did both, work and kids, ended up trying to do all of the same things stay-at-home moms do while working a full-time job. Feeling inadequate. 😞 I was a super independent person. I moved out of my parents house at 16 and finished high school from my own apartment. I finally gave up working outside the home when the kids were small because it was more important to be at home with them. At the time I thought it was a huge sacrifice, but looking back now, it was the best thing I could’ve done and I really enjoyed it more than any job I ever had.
