Congratulations to R Smaran and V Koushik on finishing as hihest Run Scorer and Wicket Taker respectively for Karnataka for the RT season 2024-25. R Smaran scored 516 runs at 64.5 with 2 centuries. V Koushik took 23 wickets at 18.74 with 2 five wicket hauls and one 4 wicket haul.

Fluid and stylish batting by R Smaran helps Karnataka to sign off 24-25 RT season on positive note. Smaran joins 13 other Karnataka batters who finished as highest run scorers on their debut season. Smaran's 516 runs on debut season is second only to K V Siddharth's 728 in 18-19.

K L Rahul becomes the 24th batsman from Karnataka to reach the milestone of 3000 runs in Ranji Trophy. Having reached there in 56 innings (31 matches) he is now the 2nd fastest to go past this milestone. Congratulations to KLR.

M Prasidh Krishna becomes 38th bowler from Karnataka to reach 50 wickets in Ranji Trophy! It has taken him 13 matches and 23 Innings thus making him 9th fastest to reach this milestone. Congratulations to Prasidh.

This season did not start well with nature interrupting and did not end well either. All young players have done well but they have also consistently failed to convert starts. All departments of the team looks good. With a little bit of luck we would have advanced to KO.

Aneesh did a good job by seeing off the new ball to set the stage for the privileged star to apply himself and score big. But the privileged star flops! Other Karnataka batsmen are guilty of wasting away the starts. Looks like the pressure of 7 points weighed heavily on them.

Karnataka take on Haryana in the last league match of RT tomorrow. It is the 11th match between the sides with Karnataka winning 5 (2 by inn), losing 2 and 3 being draws (all FID). Winning with a bonus point is a challenge and hope the team puts on a good show.

@twee_nay 1990-91 was the season he transformed into a batsman who could bowl from an allrounder by scoring three centuries. Next 5 seasons he was the crisis man for Karnataka.
