The important balancing act of the cost of medication co-payments to ensure adherence and the knock-on implications to health outcomes #statins #medsafety #policy @AIHI_MQ @ACER_MQ
In a natural experiment, the copays of statins were increased, and adherence dropped. This was associated with acute coronary syndrome and stroke-related hospitalisation in men under 70 years old.
