@WanjiruNjoya Don't conflate reclaiming with stealing. I don't need need a degree in economics to know that disproportionate ownership of land/ resources puts other people at a huuge disadvantage. Is equality too much to ask for?

@deplorabristol @prudence_r @WanjiruNjoya @ConCaracal They would kill me on arrival. Why? Because I'd be going to take their resources using my gun, bring foreign diseases to them then pretend to be their saviour by providing medicines which they didn't need in the first place. Life wasn't miserable then, bt it is rn with tech

@WanjiruNjoya Demanding that they give up part of their land -which they rarely use, to benefit other people isn't being radical. And that includes our black colinizers as well

@deplorabristol @prudence_r @WanjiruNjoya @ConCaracal Again poverty is subjective. Ever heard of the north sentinel island? Well, it was never colonized and the people living there are doing just fine without specialization and large farms. In the numerous studies conducted there none has realized depression within the populace

@WanjiruNjoya @prudence_r @ConCaracal Ooh and by the way Africa isn't poor. We were doing just fine without electricity, cars, airplanes etc. If we'd been left uncontacted we would survive without said 'luxuries'.

@WanjiruNjoya I'm okay being with being poor. I'd rather be where I am rn than defend injustice in the name of being woke

@WanjiruNjoya The kenyatta family for instance owns more than 500k of arable land. They have a whole constituency to themselves for crying out loud. If colonialism never happened maybe just maybe that land would have sustained at least 1m people

@WanjiruNjoya What isn't foreign isn't foreign to me is that our ancestors were driven out of their land in droves and relocated to reserves where they could barely eke a living. Just so that the white man can enjoy privileges that they couldn't afford back home
