@DichotomyNike Would have been cool for you guys to have a app for collecting/displaying these digital collectables: gives extra utility/life outside the limited shelf-life games & also promotes the game/promo to collectors (win/win).
Nike 'fading'/scraping the @RTFKT brand but incorporating its assets (CloneX / INVTRY / Dunks) into @dotSWOOSH makes a lot of sense at this point. Here's how @Nike's failed "Virtual Studios" initiative gets back on track (hint..use Pokemon Pocket as the guiding model): 1) Kill the RTFKT blade -The RTFKT brand holds 0 meaning in web2 circles and in web3 it has a toxic reputation that needs too much work to restore. -The RTFKT executive team is a bad fit - wasn't degen enough for web3, not professional enough for web2, not strategic enough for web2.5. -Nike doesn't have resources to dedicate to both RTFKT & its own digital assets brand so a consolidation is needed. 2) .Swoosh Integration -.Swoosh pivoted to the more broad gaming sector as a result of web3/NFTs/metaverse being years out from taking off but Nike as a culturally forward looking trailblazer still needs to be in the R&D trenches. CloneX avatars + INVTRY app + @RTFKTcreators community is the base by which Nike can keep experimenting with low risk/cost, whilst being complimentary to their current direction targeting web2 gaming. There is no reason to make their own pfp collection at this point so might as well make use of what's there. Clones become THE Nike/.swoosh avatars. -.Swoosh sells digital wearables on popular games & Fortnite but it's a missed opportunity for those collectibles to not have a central home which they control. Games will come and go so a place to preserve/showcase these collectibles is a must. INVTRY - which has been in the work for years - presents an opportunity for collectors to display their wares (think Pokemon Pocket but instead of digital cards in digital binders, it's digital shoes/wearables on digital racks/displays). For the most hardcore, you can use a CloneX avatar as your digital display...subtle fitting integration that doesn't shove it down their customers' throat. -So if INVTRY is like Pokemon Pocket, then Nike can bake in the same addictive elements that has turned PP into a money printing machine. Shop, limited time events, drops, packs, collectibles, customization options/tools, whale/flexing opportunities etc. They can also incorporate the recent move-to-earn tech stack they tried out with Cryptokicks to earn the currency of this platform. Turning this into a f2p game where you earn free credits is how you onboard the masses & obfuscate the frowned upon crypto 'speculative' labels. RTFKT creators & themed competitions can serve as part of the base that fuels the drops alongside more infrequent 'official' Nike drops with bigger names. -A new ultra crypto friendly cabinet is in place now that embraces tokens/NFTs & has removed the biggest barrier to Nike considering playing around in this area: regulatory risk. Nike dropping a token for their .swoosh platform makes a lot of sense & there would be real reason to do so in order to bootstrap/reward the emerging move2earn & creator economies without costing a dime from shareholders' pockets. Conclusion As Nike tries to remain culturally relevant in the rapidly growing digital domain that's on the verge of swallowing traditional mediums...it has an opportunity to repurpose two of its floundering divisions in RTFKT & .swoosh to marry them in fitting fashion for current times & turn the wreckage into a potentially explosive new business model. It was probably always the plan to merge them and perhaps the expedited method in which they will go about it now might come with some headaches. But there's an opportunity here to turn this ship around & what better way to do so than to properly onboard the passionate future-dreaming cult known as the CloneX. Just do it.

You can hate on post-Nike @RTFKT but don't forget where some of the coolest ideas/NFT primitives originated from. -Wearables ecosystem (INVTRY) -Modular gamification (Dunk Genesis EvoX Vials, Physical Mods) -Phygitals (Forging) -Creator hub (@RTFKTcreators) -Mystery box airdrop (MNLTH) -Collabs with hot artists done right (@takashipom,@fewocious,) -Physical RFID authentication (WM chip) -Impactful creator contests (Space Drip leading to Nike shoes) -Trait based activations (SZN1 Merch) -Integrating hot consumer tech trends to web3 (AR Hoodies, AI avatars) -Interactive community led storytelling (Twitch/UE Quests) -Micro metaverse (@OnCyber pods, @RIMOWA e-commerce) -Unique 3D IP done at scale (Animus) -M2E (Cryptokicks) Which part of old RTFKT would you most like to see get a 2nd shot under new leadership?

@JarlanPerez First off, amazing! Is it possible to have a web browser in there (like a camera option where avatar is minimized and put in the corner and space for a browser view in the center like a simple stream? Could be cool for basic reaction/news type of content without complex setup.

@majorblaz3r @RTFKT @RTFKTcreators Mentioned briefly under "AI avatars" but yea hopefully Sam's AI integration in INVTRY will pave the way for some of that.
