Wackiness is Ultraman Leo ep12’s modus operandi but Gen’s new partner is more annoying than charming. Bango looks as stupid as his name but the nostril effect and how he uses the environment to make weapons was cool. There were some dynamic camera angles too.

Ultraman Leo ep11 focuses on grief again and though the villain, Alien Kettle, sounds and looks ridiculous he is a brutal fighter. This ep features loads of action both small and giant, the end fight was super dynamic and even had weapons. However, Dan is still an A-Hole.

Flawed.

Ultraman Leo ep10 focuses on trauma and is rather sentimental with it’s kaiju, Ron, being Ultraman Leo’s former pet. This fresh dynamic was certainly interesting. Not only this but we also get a musical number. Overall, a great episode to end the opening stretch of the show.

Matango is more psychological drama than monster movie but it is a rather effective one. The production design and atmosphere are terrific and the performances are top notch. It drags sometimes and gets a bit too ambitious with the fx at the end but overall an underrated film.👍
