I love seeing FFVIII getting some love. We all like this or that FF game more or less and that is totally fine, but I always felt this was an underrated game. I loved the story and the characters.

No. You don't need to trash a game to elevate the other. They can both be good in their own way, they can both co-exist. One of them didn't work for you? That's okay. But it doesn't mean it's bad. Please be happy that we have so much to enjoy right now. I love Final Fantasy.
