This isn’t just AAU basketball, there are several programs that do this in the Winter as well. I have even heard in 1 local program the director quoted 3 families 3 different “player fees”. Money grabbers for real!

Louder for the coaches in the back that are looking for a win. Watched 2 youth teams play 1-3-1 or 1-2-2. If only the players were old enough to understand their coach is hurting them more than helping them succeed. It should be written in the rules - man to man defense.
No one should be playing zone defense in youth basketball.
