they both released albums that sounded just like previous projects that won AOTY…they deserved to be nominated but you weren’t beating charli, chappell, sabrina and beyoncé this year with recycled material.
Its so upsetting to see these two women going home empty handed because lets put stan wars aside they have the two biggest albums of 2024 commercially, performance wise and in quality but neither of them has won anything..

it really wasn’t. there was no new sound. no new production. no risks were taken. it was an album taylor made for herself and her fans. and that’s fine. i liked it a lot! but she already won for folklore and midnights. she wasn’t winning anything for this.
Just to be sure i re-listened to the entire 31 songs, watched the two mv’s, read the poetries for the album and checked the visuals. The most deserving album of the year.
