@klhicks912 Depends on the book. For most novels, there's an obvious person that the book should be dedicated to. For one, I simply wrote: This one is for you.

@klhicks912 I'll do a little research on settings, esp a place I've never been before. There's so much info available now. You can find pictues of land marks, look up average weather for the time of year. It doesn't have to be exhaustive. Those little touches add credibility.
