So, 4 years ago today I decided to get my shit together and get in shape. When I started, I weighed 308 pounds. I was, to put it mildly, unattractive. Today I am down in the 180s, feeling better, although still somewhat unattractive. 🤪
A long journey that still continues. 😀

So, today, my daughter found out that she was accepted to the Disney College Program at Disney World next year.
Basically, she'll be working at Disney World for a semester, and she couldn't be more excited. :)
And it looks like I have a trip to Orlando next year.... :)

3 years ago today I decided to get into shape. 3 years ago today I weighed 308 pounds, which is not bad if you're an NFL offensive lineman, but bad if your an almost 50 year old man who is not an NFL lineman. 1/x

So, today marks our 25th wedding anniversary.
I never thought that someone would want to be in a relationship with me for 25 days, much less 25 years.

Well, I am alive and kicking. 😀
The procedure went well and I am home to start recuperating. The only pain I have so far is where they went in, through the groin (sorry for that visual).
The worst part was having to lay flat on my back for 4 hours in recovery.....

So, today is the day of my procedure to try and get my heart back to beating with a regular rhythm. First there's a transesophogeal echocardiogram to make sure there are no blood clots and then an electric cardioversion.
I'll take any good thoughts you can spare this morning. :)

Back from the cardiologist. Things are looking good. Heart is still ticking along and the doctor decided to take me off the blood thinner and put me on low dose aspirin instead.

So our son had an phone job interview today which he said went really well. The next step would be an in-person job interview with the company in St, Louis in the next week or so, so fingers are crossed. :)

Today marks 2 years since I have started my weight loss/workout regimen.
As of today I am down 137 pounds, working out 4 times a week, preparing to run a 5K in January and in general feeling great.
You might even say I'm sexier, if that was even possible. ;)
