Proud of my son who has started his own mini valeting service for the people on our street. He finished his 20th car today (with help from his dad) and the owner was over the moon with the final result. He has earned enough money to buy the computer he wanted. Hard work pays off.

Over 3 weeks without Bruce the Bernese in our house and we decided that we could stand it no longer, and we needed to fill the huge hole that he left in our lives. So say a big (paws) hello to Brodie who will join us on Easter Sunday. The whole family are beyond excited.

I am utterly heartbroken as today, my wife and I cuddled our darling Bruce in our arms as he slipped away after a short illness. He was my soulmate and a massive part of my life. The pain we are all feeling is awful but in time, I hope it will ease. RIP lovely bear.

A rare personal post. So much in awe of my amazing daughter who has been offered a place at the Central School of Ballet in London from September. Proud does not even come close. She has worked incredibly hard to get this far, especially in the last year. Time to celebrate.

Bruce has been lain to rest. He adored eating apples so we bought him an apple tree and a beautiful pot and scattered his ashes at the base. This is also my view from my study so I can see him every day as I work. Sleep well big guy.
