4. LAND THEFT: Land appropriation was a key tool of oppression in both apartheid South Africa and Israel's occupation of Palestine. In South Africa, the 1913 Natives Land Act and 1936 Native Trust and Land Act legalized the seizure of indigenous land for white ownership. Similarly, Israel's 1950 Absentees' Property Law and 1960 Land Acquisition Law enabled the state to expropriate Palestinian land, leading to widespread displacement and the fragmentation of territory. In both cases, the laws perpetuated apartheid, entrenching power and privilege at the expense of indigenous rights.
