Representative Nancy Mace is the front runner.

Thomas Ravenel arrested for cocaine-related charges, sentenced to prison, and is a convicted felon. Thomas Ravenel was arrested in 2007 on federal cocaine charges. He pleaded guilty to "conspiring to buy and distribute less than 100 grams of cocaine." When, in fact, he was arrested with a brick of cocaine coming off an airplane. In March 2008, he was sentenced to 10 months in federal prison for these drug charges. Due to his felony conviction, Ravenel was barred from holding state office in South Carolina at the time.
