The hard truth about Crypto: Social media runs the crypto game—plain and simple. It decides which chains pop off and which ones fade into the void. In a space where hype often outweighs tech, platforms like X, Reddit, TikTok, arguably Twitch now act as kingmakers. Look at Solana: despite some early network outages, it blew up because NFT traders and degens wouldn’t stop hyping it up. Meanwhile, Dogecoin, which started as a literal joke, hit the big leagues thanks to Elon Musk’s tweets and an army of Reddit warriors. On the flip side, technically solid chains like Algorand struggle because they just don’t have that social clout. At the end of the day, it’s not just about having the best tech, it’s about having the loudest, most engaged community.
