the market allows for competition, but just like all other protocols the first one usually wins due to network effect. also there seems to be some confusion out there as to the different between a protocol and a company. Companies have CEOs and leaders, protocols dont. IMO its a very tall order for any protocol to beat bitcoin, especially given the fact that its over 16 years old now and is adopted all over the world. just like we only use one email protocol, or one internet for that matter i see the same for bitcoin. Could you image trying to implement a new email protocol right now?? 🤣 good fucking luck, not going to happen, dead in the water.

thats a bit extreme but i can see youre an OG and likely lie in the camp that bitcoin is for payments first and money second. i fall into the the camp that payments can be built on-top of secondary layers and the primary feature is making it sound money. I do buy coffee and gas with it using lightning but i will admit to it feeling more like a novelty at this point in the game. I do look at protocol adoption as a layered approach though. just look at email, it is an amazing protocol today and even you and I are using the email protocol to reply to each other 3-7 layers up depending on how you look at the protocol stack. what did email look like after 16 years? nothing like how we use it today. anyway, thats my long winded way of saying "agree to disagree"

I don’t follow everything this man says but I can honestly say I wouldn’t be where I am today without this man him snapping me out of all the bad spending habits 90% of Americans have. I live where I want, spend what I want, when I want and it’s all because of understanding how to build a personal budget. Making money doesn’t always require skill, but keeping money absolutely requires skills.
