@wesstreeting then , Please address social care as it is the root cause of corridor care .#resuscitatetheemergencycare
Health secretary @wesstreeting tells MPS: "I want to be clear, I will never accept or tolerate patients being treated in corridors. It is unsafe, undignified, a cruel consequence of 14 years of failure on the NHS and I am determined to consign it to the history books."

Called out NHSE’s narrative that it’s possible to provide safe care in corridors. Used strong language putting our statement together, reflecting @RCollEM members’ and colleagues’ strength of feeling on this matter. Degree to which corridor care is normalised is dumbfounding

RCEM is 'deeply concerned' about the lack of political attention on the pressure facing Urgent and Emergency Care systems as winter hits. Read @RCEMpresident Dr Adrian Boyle's full response to the latest NHS England data here -

@RCEMpresident thanks for raising these issues “again” We never had summer in our Emergency departments across the country , really dreading next few months .
The latest data for Emergency Department performance in England reveals 162,931 patients waited 12 hours or more in October, an increase of 33,919 from the previous month. That equates to more than one in every 10 patients who attended. Read @RCEMpresident Dr Adrian Boyle's full response here -

@VickyKomrower totally agree with you . We need to focus on the biggest problem “the exit block” and “stranded patients “in Ed , waiting for beds . We are having the worst trolley waits ever . These league tables are not the solution @resuscitatetheEmergencyCare .
'Short-term target chasing doesn't lead to improvement - what it leads to is figures looking better.' President-elect of Society for Acute Medicine, Dr. Vicky Price tells @skysarahjane that league tables will lead to NHS trusts cheating results
