@mr_cdbrown1911 Hopefully, it's not too late to say thank you for this kind feedback. As for inspiration, I wanted to use @ArcGISStoryMaps to create a resource anyone could use to better understand the complexities of chattel slavery and how it shaped/reshaped continents, people and communities.

For anyone that needed a reminder..."Black education has never only happened in the classroom." Quote by @KidadaEWilliams in conversation with Jessica Rucker for @ZinnEducation on teaching the trauma and violence of Reconstruction.

Thanks so much. We appreciate the feedback!
Great article:"Centering First-Generation Students in the Digital Humanities." The recommended practices are applicable to non-DH classrooms as well. Thanks @jpewu and @anelisehshrout!

@Christy_SpaceHW Aww hello friend, it's nice to be thought of. Remind me one day to tell you a funny story about my Liberian Lyft driver in TX. It captures Liberian hospitality at its finest.😃

Thank you @felt & @findauut for this shout out. Collaborative mapping has been a huge part of building the #networkedproject and mapping the lesser known footprint of Santa Ana's "Little Texas." We're looking doing more with these tools.
Students of @Jpewu digitized an intricate basemap of "Little Texas", the Black community of Santa Ana, CA, dating back to 1950. RJ can make all that work sharable in Felt, allowing students to add observations on how the urban environment has changed in the last 70 years.
