Politics in South Carolina will never be the same thanks to its people who stood up for the conservative team we built in the

Congratulations to the wonderful men and women of the

Here's a live picture of all the Swamp money spent trying to defeat you:
The president of the American Library Association Emily Drabinski went to a Socialism conference in Chicago over the weekend and said “public education needs to be a site of socialist organizing. Libraries really do too.”
News: The S.C. House passes a bill preventing state colleges and universities from using DEI in hiring and admissions decisions.
It would also ban mandatory diversity training.
A big win for academic integrity.
Same reason the Freedom Caucus is hated. When you prove that winning is possible and we never had to yield an inch of ground to the Left, it exposes "Republicans" who aren't serious and are just in politics to be part of the club.
Revisiting this Babylon Bee post for a moment:
We all like to chuckle about this but it has more truth than satire. He is resented because he exposed the deep state of the right. That is doesnt have to be this way and that it never had to be this way. He was able to do this in
I'm confused. It feels like some House members are shell-shocked that we actually had a serious debate about how to spend half a billion dollars in taxpayer money. Maybe we need to do even more to burst the echo chamber and give the people a voice?
Libraries should be a place for kids to learn and grow in American values, not a place where they are indoctrinated by Marxists and queer theorists. Time for state library associations to leave the national group!
@sclanews
It may be a new experience for the Dems - having Republicans in Columbia who do Republican things. But the Freedom Caucus is here to fight for the future of SC kids, not sit around the campfire with the radical Left.
The Columbia Swamp expects legislators to sit down, shut up, and vote yes. But rather than simply accepting the ideas of lobbyists and bureaucrats, I dig deeper, shine a light, and offer better alternatives. I proudly serve the people of my district - not the political club.
It's the one thing we can count on in Washington D.C. - politicians will keep spending away our great-grandkids' wealth at ever more insane levels. Time to say NO.
The uniparty in Washington D.C. is trying to ram through a horrible debt ceiling deal that betrays your future, your children's futures, and your grandchildren's futures.
Add your name to our petition so your Reps know to vote no on this swampy betrayal👇
I'm in shock. Eliminating the motion period, and prohibiting amendments during cloture that aren't approved by the Majority Leader and Minority Leader, is a blatant muzzle aimed to silence non-Uniparty legislators.
Remind me why Republicans have a supermajority in the State House of Representatives. Incredibly disappointed to hear of the rule changes being proposed. Appreciate

Bill Sandifer and Jay West have been a thorn in the side of conservative Republicans for decades. Now they're finally gone. The

South Carolina primary voters most definitely moved the needle to the right.
Republican leadership spent $2.5-3 million in an all out war against our conservative lawmakers in an effort to remove them and came up with precisely zero to show for it. They offered a fifty thousand
Get this: "Republican" legislators in South Carolina have an average conservative score worse than any other Republican legislators in the country except Hawaii. We have a lot of work to do folks. This is why the Freedom Caucus exists.
Take a look at this chart.
It shows that Oregon, New Jersey, Colorado and Illinois Republican legislators all have more conservative voting records than South Carolina, Alabama, Mississippi, and Utah.
The average swing state R has a more conservative record than red state R.

My bill H4290 requires every state university to annually report DEI funding, bans preferential treatment based on group identity, and prohibits mandatory "diversity training." DEI (aka Discrimination, Exclusion, and Indoctrination) is Marxist critical theory and must be stopped.

Truly an awesome night and a tribute to the power of the people letting their voice be heard. Praising the Lord for this massive victory! Next we need the Senate to pass the House bill. It's time to protect SC kids from the trans agenda.
Yesterday the State House voted down my amendment, proposed by Gov. McMaster, to reject federal Family Planning money and thereby defund Planned Parenthood and other abortion providers. Sadly, your tax dollars will be propping up "clinics" that kill children for another year.

Second subcommittee hearing on my DEI bill. First speaker is against, and is the only one in the room wearing a mask. Second speaker is from NAACP and says "the conservative party wants to conserve what we want to reject."
@SCHouseGOP
Who decided that bullying freshman legislators is a good look? This tweet represents the worst of the swamp in Columbia. If projects can indeed be threatened because of which legislators voted for which amendments, then the system truly is broken.
Not tired of winning! CRT and DEI have no place in South Carolina classrooms. When we take the fight seriously, there is hope to beat back the racist divisive attacks of the Left.
Hoping

If your legislator pretends our state budget is conservative, time to get a new legislator. Improvements have been made in the past few years, no doubt. But sweeping changes are needed, like income tax cuts, defunding DEI in colleges, and zero-based budgeting.
With the passage of SC's new budget – which grows state government considerably and totals $41 billion in combined funds and $13.7 billion in state funds – it's time for a discussion on spending, tax reform, and keeping our state on the right track.
@TomFitton
Thank you Tom! The South Carolina Freedom Caucus is clearly "over the target" in the most liberal Republican-controlled legislature in the country. We have not yet begun to fight.
BREAKING: South Carolina legislators have introduced a bill to ban affirmative action and mandatory DEI statements at public universities. This is a great start, but they should go further: abolish DEI altogether and restore the principle of colorblind equality.
Thank you to the South Carolina House for passing my amendment today to recognize that the Covid-19 state of emergency is over! Hopefully Congress will do the same.
DeSantis says his state nullified the WHO pandemic treaty. My bill H4246 utilizes the same concepts as Florida's SB252 but it has more teeth. We need to pass this in SC this coming year.

Glad to once again champion the innocent, voiceless, and stigmatized. Proud of the reps who stood with me against discrimination and for justice. Defense of the fatherless is a divine mandate for governments.

There's a lot more to the story. Yes at the 11th hour the Senate made some good changes, but those would have been struck in conference committee. House Uniparty leadership was clear they intended to keep the statewide power to compel sheriffs. Plus not actually cut government.

I sense that I'm gaining clarity on why left and right are so incredibly scrambled these days:

As a result, the laws of TN and KY that protect children from irreversible chemical castration and genital mutilation will remain in effect.
This has been common at the State House too... Reps who want to "prove" that public pressure "doesn't work" and who vote based on spite for individuals rather than on principle

Seeing who stands for life now and who folds for sake of political convenience will be a good lesson. Reality is America is addicted to sex and this will keep happening because people want what they want. Only hope is the church wakes up and roars against the cruelty.
@MicahCaskey
"Constant insanity" is the expectation that Republicans shouldn't challenge the idea that a biological man can be a woman. It is neither insensible nor "radical" to stand up for reality against the clown world 🤡 🌎
This show digs down to the heart of the issue: most in the Columbia club believe they're owed re-election. They take politics personally and feel any challenge to their seat is "nasty." Thanks

Very concerning. South Carolina must reject the sacrifice of American sovereignty. Will our U.S. Senators stand alongside Mike Lee and demand adherence to the Constitution?

The World Health Organization must NEVER be allowed to impose legally binding obligations on the American people. We shouldn’t need a statute to make that clear—the Constitution should be enough—but if a new law is needed I will happily write one.
@SCHouseGOP
A new concept for you to consider: it's possible for legislators to vote together by all voting according to conservative principles. A heavy-handed leadership system isn't the only way to bring a team together. Some of us just like freedom and Republican ideas.
