Just discovered that ChatGPT Deep Research is pretty good at "mining" tasks - not just open-ended research questions, but targeted, 'hunter' or scraping scenarios. For example, I just had it go mine, summarize, and populate a table of customer reviews for my app's top competitors. Very cool & useful!

Just from my experience using Cursor and AI tools for software development, the single-biggest obstacle to 'outsourcing' more work to the AI is that it doesn't yet go and retrieve the latest reference documentation on its own. For example, if I'm working on a Shopify app, it should go find the latest API docs related to the task/project at hand. Instead, I have to go look it up myself, and copy-paste it into the chat. That one capability would dramatically speed up AI-assisted software development.

@WholeMarsBlog I've loaded 300 shares in the last couple days. Swapped my entire BTC position for TSLA. Between my Tesla (car) and my TSLA (shares), 100% of my net worth is in this company.

@WallStreetApes When I was a younger man, circa 2016, I believed Bernie was a brave visionary. But over the years it's become more clear that he's a cynical and bitter man that lets down his best ideas because he lacks the tact and nuanced thinking.

Deep Research is awesome. Sometimes I have product ideas that I want to validate, assess feasibility, or identify the right tools/technologies needed for an implementation. It will understand my vision & requirements and go off and figure out the best plan. So awesome. Such a force multiplier.

Let this be the only example you need to understand the degree of incompetence & waste (let alone outright corruption, fraud, and abuse!) in the US Government bureaucracy.
Federal employee retirements are processed using paper, by hand, in an old limestone mine in Pennsylvania. 700+ mine workers operate 230 feet underground to process ~10,000 applications per month, which are stored in manila envelopes and cardboard boxes. The retirement process takes multiple months.
