Absolutely surreal to say we have a number 1 album! Don’t know if it’ll sink in fully. So proud of what we’ve accomplished but we have all our fans to thank for making this happen! Insane dedication! ❤️
If you haven’t bought FTTWTE yet, please grab a copy/download off itunes in the next two days. We’re gunning for that number 1 spot and it could be real close 🙌🏻
Demi God is one of my proudest moments on the record. I was trying to channel Radiohead/NIN but when transferring the lead melody onto strings it had a bit more of a Beatles thing to it. I reeeeaally bugged them when they were tracking that part to get each slur on point
Thanks for such an awesome response to the new record! I’m glad everyone’s enjoying it. We wanted to hone in on all of the elements that gave us goosebumps as kids getting into metal. We’re back for good!
One day I literally walked into my room, picked up a guitar and the first thing I played was that Royal Beggars riff. Like it was plucked from the air. Free riff floating around

For years and years, whenever I was writing music, if I wrote something that I felt particularly proud of I'd usually think at some point "I hope Tom thinks this part is cool". I loved…
Obviously GWTW is the most emotional song to me. If my head is somewhere else during a show, this song will always bring me back to where I am and I’ll think of Tom
#architectsrah
Doomsday is a special one for me. I never got to collaborate with Tom whilst he was alive but this is the only song that has parts written by both of us (all his riffs) along with
@danarchitects
and his powerful lyrics
That glitchy sound at the start of ‘Discourse...’ is one of Sams vocal takes pinched from ‘Damnation’ off HH and chopped up and pitch shifted

We’ve never pushed or been pushed this hard to create a record. It’s been the most difficult and longest time we’ve spent in the creative process and signals a new benchmark of quality for the band.
Just want to take this moment to apologise for starting the rumor
@adamarchitects
uses the ipad onstage as a lyric prompt for his backing vocals. It’s for this electronics stuff he does live!
Dead Butterflies is a real moody one. Really powerful in a different way.
@danarchitects
smashed it with this one. And
@samarchitects
vocal performance is one of my favourites on the record
Animals was the quickest song to come together since I’ve been in the band! Demoed a song in a day. Dan re-wrote the chorus and verses and him and Sam had all the vocals demo’d the following day and it hasn’t changed since then
#architectsrah
Check check...Twitter soundcheck. Haven’t been on here in a while. About to be tweeting/commenting along with a final evening viewing of
#architectsRAH
Starting at 8pm
Discourse dates back to May 2018 before Holy Hell was released (but after we had finished it) - hence this song sounding like the bridge between the two albums
Impermanence started as an electronic song about 8-9 years ago. I was trying to write something that sounded like Portishead. Never did anything with it so turned it into a weird metal track
#FTTWTE
Two days at home with the fam then back out to Madrid tomorrow! Can’t wait to play these next few Spanish shows. Also meeting up with our very first drummer Jay who started the band with me
I know Simon was guesting on the track but didn’t realise he was doing the screams too. I knew he had a great scream but it was a very pleasant surprise for me when I heard his part! Goliath
Huge thank you to espguitars and tonyrauser for hooking me up with my first ever custom guitar! I am beyond stoked with this thing. It's perfect! Huge thanks to the ESP family for all…
Most people have probably heard this now but Animals was pretty much the last one written for the record. I wrote a song in a day, sent it to
@danarchitects
who sent it back tweaked with all vocals done. Hasnt changed since then! Animals
The trojan horse meme but its me going in to Sue Ryder with a box where the top layers are my wifes old Twilight books and Pixar dvds but beneath that it's 100s of death metal albums
For serious, do charity shops care about what CDs you donate? I don't want to make a trip to town with 200 death metal albums for them to say "nah we cant sell these"
@danarchitects
Huge. The biggest crowds. Biggest crowd in history. We have the best crowds. CNN will say it's fake. Very sad. Their ratings are laughable
@danarchitects
@reynlord
I also took that bit about Tool on as a challenge. Good job Naomi doesnt use twitter cus I was supposed to do some chores today but I made this instead
