@SamBlum3 @TheoTweetsStuff Yes. And I addressed that multiple times when more information became available. There seems to be an impression I was trying to stir the pot. I wasn't. Just reporting information that was being given to me.

Like, people have completely lost the ability to take in information without categorizing it as either a compliment or an insult lol. Sometimes information is just information, nothing more.

@TheoTweetsStuff I wouldn't have tweeted that if I had that information at the time lol. I wasn't trying to make them look bad, I was simply passing along information I was given and making it known we wouldn't be able to get insight from SJU.

@KevinConnelly24 I addressed this multiple times and it was not made known to the entire contingent pregame, that is not true. It was announced as media gathered in the press room SJU wouldn't be coming, and then that SJU was available outside locker room as Villanova was sitting down.

Neptune said he thought about calling a timeout after St. John's disrupted the initial option on Nova's final offensive play, but felt they were better off letting the guys try to create something rather than let St. John's reset the defense. "I just trusted them to make a play."

@DalyDoseOfHoops Just disappointing because I really like listening to him talk about the game and that was a good game with some specific stuff I really would have liked his thoughts on. Some of the St. John's guys that made the switch were able to get some of it.

Neptune said the crowd was "awesome" and "definitely gave us a boost tonight."

Pitino said Villanova was trying to force St. John's into threes. Wasn't unhappy with the shots they took or the volume, says that wasn't the reason they lost.
