this seems like a more expansive celebration of the host city than most Super Bowls. I really appreciate that in the wake of the NYD tragedy and difficult season it's been for New Orleans. Brad Pitt and Harry Connick, Jr. (noted NOLA residents) were a nice touch

despite not liking either team, today is the last American football game of consequence for 6 and a half months. I'm going to watch and savor it for sure, especially since it's in the Superdome in New Orleans
