If government doesn't work, why do billionaires buy politicians?

MAGA says we are a #Christian nation. If that's true, what Scripture talks of the leaders make things easier for the wealthy by lowering their taxes and harder for the poor, elderly and children by taking away their access to food, housing and healthcare? Chapter/verse, please.

@WalshFreedom So much for them being all about the Constitution. I guess they only bleat about that when it's something against what they want (rights for others, etc). That part in history about some 1/3 of colonists wanting to stay with the king / be colonies makes more sense to me now.
