Now that we are open, I can finally say it. I am so, so, so unbelievably proud of this scene. Still pinching myself that I got to projection map the freakin Ghostbusters firehouse. Props to our entire video team for this one.
As someone decidedly unimpressed with the movie, I thought Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire made a surprisingly cool (excuse the pun) HHN house. The production and scale of it was fantastic, such as this moment - if you don’t mind

house “spoilers”
my favorite thing about haunted mansion is how the ghost host implies we should hang ourselves but minutes later keeps us safe and sound by lowering the safety bar
"Did you know the chamber entrances are red, white, and yellow to represent ketchup, mayonnaise, and mustard? This ride used to be sponsored by McDonalds"
I can't chalk it up to bad luck or coincidence anymore. Theater audiences are consistently dogshit now.
I had to move rows during Furiousa tonight while the couple 2 seats to the left of us were using their phone flashlight to light their concessions to pick at them. 1/4
Disney+ is doing everything they can to avoid expanding the Star Tours lore. The transit service in Boba episode 5 should have been explicitly operated by Star Tours. An RX droid is not enough. ST fans are fighting for our lives out here.
One of my Christmas gifts was a clearly-bootleg LEGO set of the Muppet Theater. Despite some build issues and confusing instructions, I think it's still pretty neat.
The year is 2085. Harsh weather ravages the Earth as sea-level rise begins taking hold. The government collapses. Disneyland announces the return of the Main Street Electrical Parade.
It's been a lot of hard work, and there's still more I wish I had time to do, but here's our 2021 Halloween projection show. I think personal projects are extremely important, so in the face of a difficult September, I'm glad I made a point to finish this. (Part 1 of 2!)
I’ve been saying this for awhile now, but if Disney wants to know what to do with The Muppets… it’s literally just make The Muppet Show.
Don’t modernize it. Don’t “set it in the 70s”. Just make a fun variety show with guests, skits, and music.
It's shocking, but I get it. I hate the loss of quiet areas in such a busy park, but attendance on that island is... lackluster to say the least. The biggest loss with this is the body of water itself. There's virtually none left after this, and it takes a huge focal point away.
Stop criticizing the DJ himself and start criticizing the people who put him there instead. The dude did nothing wrong. Any of us would've taken that gig.
I just legitimately cannot get in the brain of somebody who acts this way in this type of setting. It's actually alien to me. Completely unrelatable. You are a defective human if you do this kinda thing.

After moving up a row I kept having to pivot my swiveling table to hide the fact that these pea-brained dipshits were watching TikToks during the film. It is nothing short of a miracle that the audio was off or so low I couldn't hear it. 2/4

I think there's room for improvement down the line, but here is a first pass at Aku's effect which sets off all the lights and includes some fun blacklight stuff too.
Avengers Campus Deadpool should absolutely acknowledge that he is a walk-around character in a theme park. Reference DCA and Disneyland all the time. Say that he can't curse around guests because there are children around.

I don't know if this is because we're in Orlando and people are so socially lax and discourteous while visiting, but I can hardly justify it anymore when I can't guarantee a good experience anymore. The price is one thing. The experience you get after paying it is another. 4/4
The phenomenon where people basically ignore the 2nd half of the Cosmic Rewind preshow to get close to the unload door is fascinating to me.
I think it's primarily a design issue -- that preshow is greulingly long. And on repeat visits, it is SUCH a slog to get through.
