I am a huge fan of #IraAldridge who left the US in 1833. He was the first black actor to portray #Othello on an English stage and an important anti-slavery advocate. Sad he had to leave the US to get that freedom and acclaim. #blackartistsmatter #shakespeare #blackhistory
