@kirk_denz @highkneesref You know you’re doing something consistently wrong as a ref when people know you by name and recognize you

RT @RyanEasterling: The Illini's 16 three-point attempts were the fewest they've taken in a game all season. It was their highest 3PT shoo…

@dndgrubbb @zmeikamp @BBallSchoILL Even Humrichous could come back due to the Pavia ruling and benefitting from the fact that the scholarship limit will increase from 13 to 15 next season

@GSCillini @ThunderAdvocate @itsAntWright If we're willing to look at it from a different angle for each player I'd say Best statistically: TSJ Most impactful: Ayo Most consistent: Kofi

Illinois' best recruiting class ever per the 247 Composite Rankings dating back to the year 2000 is No. 22 nationally (both the 2009 and 2008 recruiting classes). If Illinois can finish in the top 21 nationally it'll be the best recruiting class in the 21st century 🔶🔷🏈📈
It's VERY early, but the #illini currently have the No. 8 recruiting class in the country, according to the Composite rankings, and the No. 7 class in the country, according to the 247Sports team rankings.

Also seemed Rutgers was really good at denying any driving lanes or easy cuts inside in the first half when they had fresh legs. Later as they got tired, especially for Dylan Harper, it seemed a lot more opportunities opened up inside. But absolutely, when Tomi is out the whole dynamic of the offense seems to change.

Certainly a rough stretch. Over the last 6 games KJ's splits are 36/14/71 with 30 assists to 23 turnovers. Hard to win when your best player is one of your most inefficient.
#illini Brad Underwood on KJ struggling: “Kasparas Jakucionis is 100 percent healthy. He’s on the top of the scouting report and going through” a rough stretch KJ was 2-8 and 7 points in a loss to Rutgers Scarlet Knights. He’s struggled with turnovers and shooting over last few games Illinois is now 7-6 in big ten play

@SBickerman @wischlist Should've been able to blow this one wide open and completely discourage us. I like our chances of getting into a better rhythm in the second half and completing the comeback which frustrates Rutgers and they lose some of their focus

Didn't help that Morez picked up an incredibly ridiculous second foul that sent him to the bench. Call was so bogus even Bailey couldn't help laugh at that one after just tripping over his own feet. With Morez getting a lot of minutes in the second half I feel good about attacking the rim consistently.

RT @Chi_Mixologist5: Love this. Genesis and the rest of the Illini women are sooo worth your time and attention this season! Such an awesom…

Happy these seniors are getting to end their career on a high note and having such a storybook experience. Their faith and dedication is being rewarded and they're overcoming the odds of being shorthanded, undersized, and underrated. Takes a lot to open up emotionally like this, but it shows her experience has truly been transformational. Just as these seniors have truly transformed the perception and state of the program. And it's poetic that someone named Genesis would be so instrumental in building this program up from obscurity.
