@MalcolmNance
Could it be that the
#FreePalestine
movement has learned that their actions over the past 10 months including blocking highways, vandalism, etc. actually turn people away from their cause?
@RonFilipkowski
Bannon is just remembering Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico. Trump said how great it was to only have a few dozen dead, lauded his relief effort, threw some rolls of paper towels in a photo op, and went home. The actual death toll was 3 thousand.
@MeghanMcCain
@TheView
@ABC
1) It would be slander, not libel.
2) Those on The View are clearly given their opinion, not stating facts.
3) You obviously haven't moved on.
@seanspicer
Lol. Yes, Judge Merchan made $35 in donations. Justice Thomas, on the other hand, got loan forgiveness of more than $200k, free trips, and other goodies before making decisions affecting his benefactors.
@MAGAIncWarRoom
@willscharf
If Merchan's total contributions of $35 corrupted him, several justices of the Supreme Court are corrupted from their freebies and loan forgiveness.
@RonFilipkowski
Trump makes no mention of the fact that he could have exercised his constitutional right to a speedy trial and been done with the trials by now.
@smerconish
@eliehonig
If Jack Smith held off on Trump's prosecution so as to not have an impact on the election, that too would be political. Trump deserves the presumption of innocence but what he is accused of in the federal cases is so significant, we need verdicts before people vote.
@charliekirk11
@MAGAIncWarRoom
This doesn't pass the "smell test". A top secret document prepared for the highest levels of the military and other decision makers including the President. Then the President declares it personal property. No way. And forget Clinton's tapes. He made them for his personal use.
@JoJoFromJerz
This would have been fine if there was a warning at the beginning and during the show. "The following content is for entertainment purposes only and has not been prepared following any journalistic standard."
@Victorshi2020
I like his just prior Truth in which he says Biden's administration is always blaming others for their mistakes and blunders. Actually that sounds more like Trump to me. Has he ever admitted a mistake?
@SuperWendyWoman
@JoJoFromJerz
That's because Governor DeSantis and the FL state legislature aren't working on the issues Floridians care about. People suffering from high hownowner's insurance costs or flooding aren't thinking much about what pronouns are being used in elementary school.
@gtconway3d
The timing of the trial is understandably bothersome for Trump. He should offer to advance it to late this year. It reduces interference with his campaign and has the added bonus of letting voters know if he is a convicted felon.
@jaketapper
That positive alternative for the future will need some specifics because Republicans don't seem to have ideas on how to solve today's problems. Going after Mickey Mouse, banning books and not allowing the word "gay" in schools isn't going to do it.
@TrumpWarRoom
If the FBI had a warrant, then it wasn't an unconstitutional search ("raid" to the MAGA faithful). But do bring up your evidence at next year's criminal trial.
@JoJoFromJerz
Look at it from Trump's perspective. Running for President is the most profitable business he has ever had. A real cash cow he has to keep milking.
@washingtonpost
I don't think they will charge Trump with possession of the documents, just like they aren't charging Pence and won't charge Biden. They will, however, charge Trump with obstruction of justice and violation of The Espionage Act.
@seungminkim
@JoeBiden
I remember the horrified look on Dr, Deborah Birx's face, as well as Trump stopping the daily covid news conferences for several months because he didn't enjoy being the butt of jokes.
@KristiNoem
What we didn't (and don't) need is adding $8T to the national debt which Trump managed to achieve in four years. Even Biden is adding debt at a lower rate.
@NormEisen
@BlackKnight10k
If Cohen was just being reimbursed for the payment to Stormy, it wouldn't be taxable to him and the payment wouldn't need to be grossed up. That Trump was willing to pay "extra" shows he understood that it was going to be falsely reported as income to Cohen.
@JohnWDean
It would seem limited immunity for the President, if that's the road they want to take, wouldn't apply in this case. Trump's attorney conceded to Justice Barrett that various actions Trump was charged with wouldn't be official actions.
@gtconway3d
What are the odds that after the jury has announced their monetary award, Rudy steps in front of the press microphones and slanders the election workers again?
@Conservazoomer
@davidaxelrod
They're not illegal if they were processed and released. Republicans should have approved the bipartisan border bill that would have greatly accelerated the processing of asylum claims.
@DoctorHenryCT
If Melania isn't at the debate, the moderator can ask Trump, "Where's Melania?" as a second question. The first should be, "Who won the 2020 election?".
@highbrow_nobrow
@Acyn
Governor Walz served in the National Guard for 24 years. Vance's requirement to have "valor" is 25+ years. That excludes people who weren't able to serve due to bone spurs, of course.
@mail_american
@JoJoFromJerz
Disney's reading the writing on the wall. They're protecting their shareholders by reducing investments where there's a high risk of operating. There's no telling what further restrictions DeSantis will put on Disney to "punish" them.
@Victorshi2020
A complete read of the reporting mentions that Trump and Meadows claimed the documents were declassified that day (1/19/21), but in any event, are different than the classified documents found at Mar-a-Lago for which no proof of declassification has been offered.
@mehdirhasan
Did Trump mention that immigrants help to grow our economy and pump money into the Social Security and Medicare trust funds? Or how the work they do will get done when the mass deportations begin?
@JoJoFromJerz
The framers of our Constitution contemplated impeachment for this situation. Unfortunately, they didn't consider that half of Congress would be complicit.
@RamDestroyer55
@Victorshi2020
Good things? Trump had the worst job performance since Herbert Hoover. Under Biden, more people are working in the US today than at any time in history.
@CheriJacobus
We now know that at the same time Trump was Tweeting and saying this, he was telling Bob Woodward in interviews a very different story about Covid. In other words, he was lying to the American public.
@JoJoFromJerz
Now we'll get to see how good Speaker Johnson is at whipping votes. He can only lose 3 Republicans for the impeachment inquiry to pass.
Note to House Republicans who won in districts President Biden carried: Do you want to be in the House next term?
@SteveRattner
@FixTheCourt
It would be interesting to know whether the gift givers reported these to the IRS as a gift or as a business expense deduction.
@AmbJohnBolton
FACT CHECK
1) There is a 5 day pause, not a ceasefire.
2) Trump made the agreement with the Taliban for the U.S. to retreat from Afghanistan.
3) Iran has received no $.
@highbrow_nobrow
@profcarroll
I'm sure Merrick Garland will jump right on this and let us know if a Special Counsel is warranted. We can expect to hear from him in 2-3 years.
@SenThomTillis
@MAGAIncWarRoom
Just like Trump being excluded from the ballot, I know a 25 year old that wasn't allowed to run for President because the Constitution said they couldn't. Imagine that.
@MAGAIncWarRoom
This was before Donald Trump became the first President in U.S. history to not participate in the peaceful transition of power to his successor.
@newtgingrich
Am I the only one who fact checked this and found that Merchan only donated $35 during the last election cycle of which $15 was for Biden? Are we expected to believe that this level of donations makes a judge corrupt?
@RonFancy
@DC_Draino
You don't defect to Russia because your sexual assault claim didn't hold up. You go to Russia because your usefulness as a Russian operative in the U.S. has ended.
@eorden
@carlquintanilla
No doubt Trump didn't want Melania to know. Unfortunately for Trump, that doesn't change the fact that a substantial reason for the payments was for the benefit of his campaign. The two reasons are not mutually exclusive.
@donlemon
This seems more like a Fulton County HR issue to me. It has no impact on the evidence and ultimate guilt or innocence of any of the defendants.
@GeraldoRivera
Of those who have announced for President, Biden is the strongest on defense and support for Ukraine. What happened to the Republican party?
@StephenM
Project 2025 includes a requirement that each state report pregnancy and abortion data to the federal government or risk losing Medicaid funding for reproductive health. So yes, the government will be monitoring pregnancies.
@jaketapper
If (Presumed Innocent) Trump had made these payments from personal funds, he would have spent the day in Palm Beach and Finland's joining of NATO would be today's big story.
@gtconway3d
Santos was born in Queens. I'm all for seeing his birth certificate. And also for Queens born Donald Trump. We can't be too careful with these pathological liars.
@jconricus
No permanent ceasefire until Hamas control of Gaza ends. Anything short of this means more lives lost in the long term, both Israeli and Palestinian.
