Devotees carry the relics of Santa Fortunata into the Church of Collegio Di Maria in the town of Baucina, Sicily. Santa Fortunata was a Christian martyr from Palestrina, near Rome, around 200 AD. Her relics were brought to Baucina in 1790 following a dream by a nun, which led to the establishment of her veneration in the town. Her feast day is celebrated annually in Baucina on the second Sunday of September.
