The nemesis system is such a great idea only to get immediately copyrighted.
It’s pure emergent gameplay that blends into your playstyle, it could work with nearly any competitive genre too, racing, jet combat, fps etc.

Call of Duty plots are a mishmash of different war movies and tropes, If you made a movie people would complain it’s too predictable but in reality it’d be a prefect game adaptation. CoD isn’t some grandiose unique storytelling machine it’s the most baseline war game series made
