Update: car got stuck almost immediately trying to leave my house. My senior offered to try to come get me but she’s also stuck near her house 😭

Looking at the 6 inches of snow and ice on the road and the fact that it’s still snowing and there are zero road clearing crews working near me really does not bode well for my safety in 4.5h when I have to try to get to the hospital….

Told myself I was going to meal prep today before snowmageddon. Instead I slept until noon (first day off in over a month), went and got snow melt, and ordered $50 worth of dominoes. Oops. YOLO, may as well enjoy myself before dying trying to drive to work on Monday.

Was looking forward to getting an out of print puzzle (originally supposed to be delivered on a post call day but late, and this was the only one being sold online at all). Was reportedly delivered today, but it is definitely not here. Icing on the cake to an already bad day 😭

lol love how my last day on our toughest service was a call day and literally the worst day of residency so far. And I’m not so sure it’ll be easy to beat…

It’s exhausting and disheartening constantly going out of your way to help others when they need it and realizing no one is willing to do the same for you when the roles are switched.
