Through extensive research, she reveals how talk therapy, Social Emotional Learning, and “gentle parenting” often reinforce anxiety, depression, and emotional instability rather than building resilience. While mental health care is crucial for severe cases, its overuse has left many kids unprepared for life’s challenges. The author urges parents to take the lead in fostering emotional strength and stability, questioning the widespread therapeutic approaches that may be doing more harm than good.
