@jonhotspur1988 He would clearly need a big squad to play the way he wants to play, especially if in Europe. I expect Levy will use this to sack him in the summer, as having a big squad is expensive…

@lukeherbert Would be good if a decent reporter could actually do some research and see if there has ever been a situation like this before? Just checked Newcastle last season and think they had 19 games in the same 2.5 month period where Spurs have had 22 games.

@Craig1Osullivan I get permanent transfers for quality players are hard, especially in Jan. However I don’t understand why loan players aren’t brought in to plug gaps. That would have been really helpful in early Jan with 11 important season defining games to play by early Feb.

@LJMavin @footballconfid1 If Spurs aren’t in Europe next season, which is most likely, then a smaller squad would be ok. Angeball would thrive with only one game a week!
