This is a strange twist on his words. I'll admit, both sides have been lamenting about Canada. Libs have been calling Canadians polluters, nationalists, sexist, racist and colonizers for the past 10 years. CPC has been talking about broken immigration, bail, cost of living, and taxes. I guess we'll have the election soon enough and we'll see which causes matter most to Canadians.

I didn't really get that read. I think he's lamenting that it took a character like Trump for Canadians to suddenly start thinking about what makes us strong. For years, we've been sleep walking - stifling our economy, increases in violent crime, taxing everyday citizens into poverty.

Suddenly, Canadians are thinking of the requisites to defending their country. Apparently, disarming legal gun owners isn't one of them.

@NormRCN31 @kinsellawarren This is a trend I've been seeing with Libs - they're saying how they'll fight and die for their country. But have disarming legal gun owners who will actually do the fighting. It really speaks to their psychology, all the virtue, none of the accountability.

@L0m3z I think everyone views themselves as centrists (balanced). Even if they explicitly call themselves leftists or progressives, they believe it's the right and balanced approach. Being truly centrist is complex and messy.
