@PeterFane5 He says it because it's his only hope of getting some coverage. He knows enough economics to realise it won't result in the kind of GDP growth he pretends (more likely, the opposite). He also knows there are very few votes in re-joining. Ask @RejoinP about their 0% at the GE.

@RejoinP Policies that attracted - statistically - 0% of voters, when you put them to the electorate last summer.

@PeterStefanovi2 Your man cites "Deep alignment in...services" as a driver of revenue. Worth noting that we never had that as members.

@AdamJSchwarz Ask any 100 people in the street whether we should pay billions to Mauritius for islands we already own, and the number who agree will be tiny. Farage is a product of government's not doing what those who elect them want.

It would be easy to dismiss this as a fringe MP trying to attract attention. But - all too often - members of @UKLabour ground their thinking in these niche interest groups. And that steers them on the more important matters that affect all of us.
Nottingham has a proud tradition of solidarity. We look after each other and we don’t fall for con artists playing divide and rule. So, in our hundreds, we showed the small anti-trans march that their views are not welcome. Their movement is a danger to trans people and women.

@markofagenius The NHS takes more than 20% of overall tax rake. The £100-£150 a month an average household would have to pay for private health insurance would be a lot less than a 20% reduction in their tax.
