Our work with our indigenous populations and other matters of human rights were discussed with José Luis Caballero - Country Rapporteur for Belize and Chairman for the InterAmerican Commission on Human Rights. Also present in the meeting were Hilaire Sobers and Wendy Singh.

Belize is an attractive location for the BPO sector with 16K employees and $190M paid in salaries. RCC was the 1st in the country and now has 2,500 employees - the 3rd largest employer in the sector, preparing to hire another 1,500. #PlanBelize

Heads of Belize 🇧🇿, Brazil 🇧🇷, Cuba 🇨🇺, Chile 🇨🇱, Guatemala 🇬🇹, Colombia 🇨🇴 and Honduras 🇭🇳 were invited to a private lunch by outgoing President of Mexico 🇲🇽 Andrés Manuel López Obrador. I thanked him for the alliance and the transformative programme for small farmers.

As I travel to represent Belize 🇧🇿 at the UN Summit for the Future, I met with @WWF CEO Carter Roberts and continued our discussion about the Project financing for Permanence for our country and our efforts to raise funds for the protection of our marine and coastal resources.

Along with my Blue Bond Team, I met with local and international representatives of the World Wildlife Fund receiving an update on the proposed PFP to build on existing efforts to finance the conservation of our ocean blue space.

Our delegation to Guatemala 🇬🇹 discussed security cooperation, our Partial Scope Agreement for trade, interactions along the southern border region for mutual benefit. Pres. Arevalos supported our membership to the Council of Ministers of Finance and observer status to SIECA.
