ANOTHER MISGUIDED ECONOMIC POLICY FROM TRENTON THAT HURTS THOSE IT IS MEANT TO HELP! Assemblyman John Azzariti went further, calling rent control an “unworkable and ineffective” policy that defies basic economic principles. “Anyone who has studied basic economics understands that price controls lead to less supply and lower quality,” Azzariti (R-Bergen) argued. He said the bill will disincentivize landlords from maintaining or upgrading housing, and ultimately reducing mobility for those benefiting from the controls.

This is typical one-dimensional thinking by leftists. Americans will not pay for tariffs on Colombian goods because such tariff threats are meant not to impose taxes on goods Americans use, but to “encourage” foreign regimes to accede to our demands, which Colombia apparently has done today. Try and think beyond one dimension in the future.
