We don't read and write poetry because it's cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty,
when Kendrick Lamar in "rich spirit" said "stop playin' with me 'fore I turn you to a song," guilty conscience got a hold of me.
dear writers, how many of you have turned your life and your people into characters in your work?
Tell the truth.

in the stride to create something perfect, we relapse into creating nothing at all. honestly, to find out that that's good, you need a series of bad. write that work, even if it's just a start out line, no matter how half baked you may think it's. just write. not all you create
sweet to share with you my poems published by Eunoia Review

Out of many things I want to rant about this book, "The girl with the louding voice" by Abi Dare, here's a few :
1. Before the language, that title got me, that, I'll be sincere. In my head I was like, could this be an error or something? & when I got into it, the language did
English language is hard enough to write. Pidgin a.k.a broken English language is another hard thing to write. And 'Abi Dare' chose to experiment English language spoken by someone lacking quality knowledge of it in this book, 'The girl with the louding voice.' Now that's wild.
from a dream journal :
admiration, encouragement y'all and accorded respect. though a rejection mail, the acknowledgement and warm words outweighs it. cheers to the perks that comes with writing, the winnings and the failings. cheers to all. 😊

lately on the question of my why :
maybe I may not become a pop-writer. maybe my works may never get cited.maybe. but that won't stop my love for the art. that won't stop me from being in bed with the art. that won't stop me from writing. it was love for the art before anything.
In this podcast, two of my poems from my poetry gazelle are voiced beautifully by

right now, I'm finding it distressing to translate that I'm feeling into a work of art. how do I express what people are grieving now, with the same intent as them when I fear the aim will be underachieved? and might likely pass out for only appreciation, accolades and likes..
another beautiful day to be a light at the end of one's tunnel. not the tunnel, not the darkness that envelopes inside the tunnel, but the light, the warmth, the peace and bliss.
There's always a void to fill. The happiness is always momentary, like a pond at the end of the road, where the the sky and the road kiss, but upon reach, it disappears and you pursue another. What do you call this? Chase?
where does those masterpieces go when we wake up from sleep?
personal account : I'd this dream that didn't feel like a dream, so real. I was writing this mad poem that I was amazed by what I was cooking, only to wake up and realize it was a dream and the poem, gone with it🤦🏻♂️
whenever I spot out an easter egg in a movie, I'm like to the cinemarographic storytellers, "I gotcha!" there's this excitement I get from knowing I spotted out the secret hints ran through the movie that most people would miss out on. same way when I figure out an angle a writer
Paraphrased :
art is not objective. there's no definite phrase to say this is art or not. what about shakespeare beethoven, mozart and the likes? call it collective subjectivity. your fanbase determines how popular you're.
—The Lazarus Project
In every poem I write, I sow a piece of myself. That way, like Jesus Christ, I give you myself to feed on, and in return, I give myself healing. Call it a communion, call it a fellowship. 🌹
The final day of Homecoming Workshop was facilitated by the inimitable Utibe Hanson, winner of ANA/KMVL Poetry Prize 2023.

romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, "O me! O life!... of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless... of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these, O me, O life?" Answer. That you are here - that life
@peclif
Something I say about writers block. It's either you're scared to produce works you considered bad or you're to lazy to write. The only solution is just to write.
