This is not an important thing, but my brain really likes the idea of the Raptors putting out a lineup of players wearing 1, 2, 3, 4 & 5. Nobody else probably cares about this, but I do.

You can not like the move for Ingram, that's fine. But take a deeper look at what the Raptors have done here. They're clearing the way for their young pieces to play out this season and probably lose a good number of games along the way.

@AndrewNova33 Yeah, I always assumed he would be moved at the deadline. Shead looking so ready, and the cost made it all but certain in my mind. Davion made it tough, though. He was so good.

@_TheOnlyDJB_ Very true! Have to see where their pick falls this year and who comes out of it. That'll make the image a lot clearer.

@_TheOnlyDJB_ I also appreciate what I perceive as the front office looking the losses early this season and taking stock of the fact they had a brutal schedule. They were banged up, but played some inspired hoops! Didn't just sell for more draft capitol, and I'm sure the guys appreciate that

@_TheOnlyDJB_ Agree on all counts there! I also think the Raptors are positioned to further consolidate with the pieces and contracts to make moves/match salaries. It'll take tough decisions, but that's further down the road, and I don't wanna think about those yet. 😂

@_TheOnlyDJB_ That's a genuine concern, you are right about Scottie in the mid-range. But if it's a package of Bruce and Chris + picks, you get to consolidate a little bit and add an all-star talent for rotation dudes. I just like that from a value perspective. We'll see!

@thomascsercsa It's a risk, but one that I think is pretty worthwhile with his natural scoring ability! Have to see what the whole deal looks like

@_TheOnlyDJB_ I think what I like here is BI can do the things that I'm unsure Scottie can develop into. The difficult shots, the more natural ability to score. And I think the depth is in a better spot to be able to support, something that wasn't the case with the old starting unit
