@mds Love that you’re willing to take a stand publicly based on what you believe in. We need more of that grit. 💪

@axmont @BrettFromDJ Actually, I used Rive! To be clear, I’m not advocating abandoning design tools. Just emphasizing that Figma can actually be mostly avoided in the process if you put your mind to it. If I was Figma, I would not ignore that threat.

I actually plan to write a blog on it, and record a video too. Summary: It was a fun exercise where I learned a lot, but ultimately it slowed me down, because I had to wrestle with a lot of bugs and regression issues. AI tends to fail to see the broader picture, and consequently tends to introduce issues, forcing you to micromanage it in order to actually get anything done.

@AntoinePlu They’re both super useful. AI is letting designers riff on ideas in real code, which wasn’t previously possible for most. This is highly useful to communicate specific details to your dev team. In doing so, designers also get to know what is actually technically feasible.

What do user-centered experiences look like when most of our users aren’t human? Super intriguing line of thinking from @itspatmorgan in his newsletter this weekend. 💡

@vovacodes @BrettFromDJ Ah you got me! That’s a bug I have on my list to fix. Right now it scales width so that that section reaches full screen once it hits the top of your browser. But it needs to just use CSS scaling.

@EthanDriskill Bring some humanity to the robotic accolades and you’ll do well. Just tell some real stories, show some great design, and people eat it up!

@EthanDriskill I can’t imagine having that narrow of a view of design. Wow. Maybe they should get out of design - seems like it isn’t a fit. 😬
